The Will of God
I John 2:15-17
15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For everything in the world-- the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does-- comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
Matthew 7:21
21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 12:50
50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."
Hebrews 10:36
36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
1 Peter 4:1-2
1 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. 2 As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.
John 7:16-17
16 Jesus answered, "My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me. 17 If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.
Romans 12:2
2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing and perfect will.
1 Thessalonians 4:3
3 It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 2:15
15 For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.
1 Peter 4:19
19 So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.
